I am still doing the Temp thing. I have not worked in four weeks and have a short gig right now at Beyond Housing. It is only for 3 1/2 days but at least it is something. I am doing reception work and it is not a very busy office. I am just trying to keep busy.
On the home front, I have been decluttering the house. I have a feeling that we will be moving sometime this year. For one reason we are working towards home ownership this year and I think that the Casino is getting closer to buying the area that we are living in right now. So we have been discussing buying a house instead of renting again. We'll see what happens.
Besides decluttering, I have been focusing on cleaning more often and keeping the dishes done up. We don't really have much food in the house so I cannot really do much cooking.
Lanie is doing well. Growing so fast and changing so much. The other night she said her prayers all by herself and it brought tears to my eyes. I am teaching her something! That makes me happy. I noticed too that she is paying more attention to the things I tell her because she had been taking her mattress off her bed everyday at nap time and we had a discussion about a week ago where I told her that if she did it again I would spank her butt and make her sleep on the floor. She has not done it again and tells me everytime I put her to bed that she does not want to sleep on the floor so she will not take her mattress off the bed. Also, we had a discussion about water on the bathroom floor. Everytime she takes a bath I end up with a lake in the bathroom so I asked her not to dump water on the floor because it makes a mess for me to clean up. She has not gotten water on the floor in the last 3-4 days. I am so proud of her.
Because I am typing this at work I cannot upload any pictures but I will try to do some over the weekend. She is just changing and growing so much...and she never stops talking! OMG! She starts talking the minute she wakes up and does not stop until she goes back to sleep. When we put her in her room for a "nap"...and I put that in quotes because she never actually goes to sleep during her "nap"...she continues to talk to herself non-stop. She will talk about all of us but then she also talks about Dora and Diego. She will clap her hands or stomp her feel and then say, "good stomping" or "good clapping". It is very funny to listen to her. She will also spank her babies or put them in a corner or tell them they are being bad or doing something good. Very, very cute!
Not much more to tell right now but if you have the time or inclination, could you say a prayer for me to find a permanent job? I would really appreciate all the prayers and help I can get!
