I took Lanie to the Urgent care 2 weeks ago because she put stuffing up her nose (from a stuffed animal). Last night when I picked her up from the Y John told me she was stinking again-not the diaper, the nose. So when I got home I laid her on the table and looked in her nose. Sure enough, there is something there.
I said, "Lanie, you put something up your nose again!"
She said, "I go to doctor, I get stickers!"
I then replied, "You are not going to the doctor, I am digging it out and you are not getting a sticker."
She was not a happy camper but I got the tweezers out and reached in and gently pulled out a piece of something...I don't really know what it was. It was small and rectangular and looked like a piece of cardboard or a piece of Gizzy's dog food. I did not dissect it or smell it to find out....ewwww.....gross!
We had a long conversation about NOT sticking stuff up the nose. She also reacted for the first time to an ambulance going by. They go by our house quite often and I know this was not the first time she heard one but it is the first time she reacted! She wanted to know what it was, what was happening. I told her that someone was probably hurt and the ambulance would take them to the doctor. She was fascinated by that.
Also, when I asked her if she wanted cheese, she said, "No, me done with cheese." She would not eat cheese for me for 2 days. Nonnie said she did eat it today though.
Such fun with a two and a half year old!
